Interactive Marketing Manager

DEPARTMENT: Digital Media & Content

REPORTS DIRECTLY TO: Director of Digital Media & Strategy

JOB SUMMARY:

The Interactive Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing paid media service offerings including strategic media planning, paid search, and email marketing.  This individual will be charged with growing the client relationship on multiple accounts under the direction of the Director of the department. The Interactive Marketing Manager supports all aspects of paid media from strategy development, implementation, optimization, reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can manage all detailed aspects of client’s day-to-day online paid media campaign activities. The candidate should have 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience in online marketing with a heavy focus on paid search and email management.  This individual should possess a great depth of tactical knowledge in those services.  This position will be a working management role with some staff management responsibilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research and strategize paid media plans for our clients
  • Write detailed paid media proposals to meet client goals
  • Manage accounts to ensure all project deliverable deadlines are met
  • Facilitate the management and growth of all accounts and ensure that the expectations of the clients are met
  • Analyze and report on campaign results and present to client by documented report and presentations
  • Develop and enhance the process of paid media offerings
  • Develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills, and continuously teach others in the organization for professional development
  • Develop and maintain understanding of marketplace dynamics and key players, and communicate to internal and external customers
  • Provide wire framing and work with external and internal creative resources to develop effective designs for all post-click landing experiences
  • Assist in the development of the overall marketing plan and how online marketing fits within that plan


CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong understanding and application of paid media practices including paid search, email, online display and affiliate marketing
  • Minimum of 4 to 5 years of background in online marketing operations with an understanding of web analytics and a heavy emphasis on paid search, direct marketing and analytics
  • Detailed experience with paid search keyword research, campaign construction, daily optimization, test plan construction, and in-depth analysis is required
  • Strong experience with email distribution processes and deliverability issues is ideal
  • Experience developing email segmentation strategies, customer touch point plans, email distribution processes, personalization strategies, and customer modeling a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and experience creating and presenting campaign reports including ROI, conversion rates, etc.
  • Experience with both BtoB and BtoC-based marketing a plus
  • Solid communication skills applied to writing and presenting proposals and reports
  • Advanced proficient in Microsoft Office applications especially in Microsoft Excel, and Paid Search, Web Analytics, and Email applications
  • Possess a unique balance of disciplined strategic thinking, creative passion, and a willingness to be hands-on
  • Multi-tasking and meeting client’s deadlines are critical
