As the CEO and founder of Optiem, Joe brings branding and marketing communications planning to a new level. His client work is extensive and includes prominent organizations such as COSE, KeyBank, YMCA of the USA, Cleveland Clinic, and STERIS. His professional recognitions include being named an Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist, receiving the SME Marketing of the Year Award and Kent State University's Alumni of the Year Award. Joe also is a member of the Business Advisory Council for Kent State, serves on the board for the American Red Cross' Greater Cleveland Chapter, and is a part of the 2006-2007 Leadership Cleveland Class. Joe holds his MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management with a dual concentration in Marketing and Organizational Behavior. Kubic received his BA degree from Kent State University where he majored in Marketing and minored in Music.
In his 16 year career, Mark has developed corporate identity, corporate and product graphics standards, corporate product and service signatures, corporate communications materials, advertising and collateral, vehicle identification, trade shows and color standards for a wide range of clients. Mark has created the visual identity for numerous clients including AT&T, the Cincinnati Reds, ICI, and Cole National. He has also developed successful designs for some of the world's most discerning brands including Coca-Cola and Disney.
As Optiem's Chief Operating Officer, Tom manages all aspects of Optiem's operations and account services to ensure that Optiem's service meets high standards of quality and effectiveness for its clients. Bernot joins Optiem from Swagelok Company, where, most recently, he served as Global Brand Manager. While at Swagelok, he also held roles as European Brand Manager and Project Manager for the construction of Swagelok's new $30 million fulfillment and distribution center.
As Chief Strategist for Optiem, Clyde oversees the development of innovative internet marketing, media, content and design strategies for our clients. Clyde also manages Optiem strategic alliances and integrated communications. Clyde has a history of leading marketing innovation for high-profile international brands as a Division President at both Bozell Worldwide in Detroit and Meldrum & Fewsmith Communications in Cleveland, and as Vice President and director of client services at DMB&B in Chicago.
A Microsoft Certified Solution Developer with over ten years in the IT field, Brent oversees all of Optiem's technology initiatives. His wide-ranging experience includes web, client-server, and database development for such clients as Sherwin-Williams, JumpStart, Patio Enclosures, Inc., Things Remembered, Cuyahoga County Public Library, and IdeaCrossing.
A native of Leigh-On-Sea, Essex, UK, England, David has over 10 years of experience in web design, development, and web standards accessibility and usability. As Optiem's Director of Emerging Technology, David looks at the technology and trends and how they can impact our clients. He also supports Optiem's business development efforts through project estimation and proposal support.
Paul is responsible for interactive design and information architecture for a number of Optiem clients. He has held many different creative positions across the country, including Graphics Editor at The Times-Picayune in New Orleans, Presentation Editor at North Hills News Record in Pittsburgh, and a Newsroom Artist at the Valley News-Dispatch in Tarentum. Prior to joining Optiem, Paul served as the Creative Director of IdeaStar Inc.
As Director of Digital Media and Content, Megan Hauer manages all aspects of Optiem's search marketing, online content and media services. Prior to Optiem, Megan was the Director of Marketing for CareerBoard in Cleveland. As Director of Marketing at CareerBoard, Megan focused on search engine optimization, effective use of targeted online advertising media and email marketing strategy to help increase CareerBoard's site traffic by over 72 percent. Megan Hauer is a 2003 graduate of John Carroll University's Boler School of Business MBA Program. She also has a Bachelors degree from Miami University in Business. She is an active member of the Cleveland community, presently serving as Director of Communications for the Web Association. Megan is also on the planning committee for PRSA Student Day, a member of Playhouse Square Partners and the American Marketing Association. Prior to joining CareerBoard Megan was a manager at MBNA in the Teleservices department and previously worked as a Traffic Coordinator at Doner Advertising.
