Magnolia Clubhouse Launch New Website on 50th Anniversary
November 21, 2011
For 50 years, Magnolia Clubhouse has helped people with mental illness lead happier and more fulfilling lives. As it embarks on the next half century of service, the University Circle organization has a new website, MagnoliaClubhouse.org, to connect with its members and supporters.
The website is where Magnolia Clubhouse explains how it helps those with mental illness integrate themselves into their communities through work, education and care. It’s where visitors can read members’ stories and learn the history and goals of the organization, which was founded in Cleveland in 1961. It is also a means for Magnolia’s 300 members to explain how they manage and operate the organization in cooperation with its staff. Supporters can visit the site to find out what’s happening at the Clubhouse as well as contribute.
Optiem, part of The Adcom Group of Companies and Cleveland’s leading marketing agency, donated its work to Magnolia Clubhouse.
“Optiem embraced our goals and culture with keen insights,” said Robert Clancy, communications manager for Magnolia Clubhouse. “From the people-focused, friendly design to the easy functionality and CMS they developed for us, Optiem captured the essence of our organization and brought it to life. Many firms can build a website. Optiem took the time to really learn about our organization’s culture, unique difference and goals and they brought them to life in a strategic, targeted way."
“We’re so proud to be associated with this great community. We’re glad to help,” said Clyde Miles, partner at The Adcom Group. “It’s a place of hope where (members) can go. There ought to be a lot more Magnolia Clubhouses.”
The Adcom Group has a long history of working with area charitable organizations, including Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cleveland, MedWish International and the American Red Cross of Greater Cleveland, and is committed to helping the communities it serves.
