Joe Kubic, CEO
As the CEO and founder of Optiem and Adcom Communications, Joe brings extensive branding, marketing and online experience to the Cleveland Clinic communications team. His client work is extensive and includes prominent organizations such as KeyBank, YMCA of the USA, Sherwin-Williams and STERIS. His professional recognitions include being named an Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist, receiving the SME Marketing of the Year Award and Kent State University's Alumni of the Year Award. Joe also is a member of the Business Advisory Council for Kent State, serves on the board for the American Red Cross' Greater Cleveland Chapter, and is a part of the 2006-2007 Leadership Cleveland Class. Joe holds his MBA from the Case Western Reserve University Weatherhead School of Management with a dual concentration in Marketing and Organizational Behavior.

Mark Nuss, Chief Creative Officer
Mark Nuss co-founded Adcom along with Joe Kubic in 1989. Previously, Mark had worked as a graphic designer for IMG, the sports marketing firm that represents renowned athletes such as Tiger Woods and Arnold Palmer. There he art directed event promotions for international brands including Wimbledon, The Orange Bowl and Disney’s Stars On Ice. Mark has built the Adcom creative department into an award-winning group, taking top honors in showcases including the Addys, the Tellys, Healthcare Marketing Awards, Bank Marketing Awards, and the BMA Tower Awards. Mark himself has produced successful designs for some of the world's most discerning brands, including Disney and Coca Cola Company.

Tom Bernot, Chief Marketing Officer
As Optiem's Chief Marketing Officer, Tom is charged with delivering integrated marketing solutions that achieve actionable results for Optiem’s clients while overseeing the development of Optiem’s position in the interactive marketing space. Tom joins Optiem from Swagelok Company, where, most recently, he served as Global Brand Manager. While at Swagelok, he also held roles as European Brand Manager and Project Manager for the construction of Swagelok's new $30 million fulfillment and distribution center.

Clyde Miles, Partner
Clyde oversees the development of innovative internet marketing, website, media, content and design strategies for Optiem clients. Clyde also manages Optiem strategic alliances and integrated communications. Clyde has a history of leading marketing innovation for many high-profile international brands as a Division President at both Bozell Worldwide in Detroit and Meldrum & Fewsmith Communications in Cleveland, and as Vice President and director of client services at DMB&B in Chicago. Clyde is a member of the advisory board of the Kelvin Smith Library at Case Western Reserve University and has spoken at national library conferences on content management and social media. Clyde is also a board member of the Museum of Contemporary Art.

Chris Caputo, Vice President
Chris Caputo brings over 18 years of marketing experience to the Optiem team. Chris has an extensive and varied background with both BtoB and BtoC companies and management of both online and offline programs. His recent position at American Greetings Interactive as Director, Acquisition Marketing gave him responsibility for driving and converting all paid and organic traffic sources to numerous web properties including AmericanGreetings.com, BlueMountain.com, Webshots.com, and Photoworks.com. Chris led an internal agency team with a multi-million dollar budget that developed and/or executed internet strategy, information architecture, usability, paid search, SEO, online advertising, social media, and web analytics tactics. Prior to American Greetings, Chris was Director of Marketing at Roper Industries where he had extensive experience in developing and executing strategies in direct mail, brand development, event marketing, website development, international marketing and email marketing.

Brent McLean, Director of Development
A Microsoft Certified Solution Developer with over ten years in the IT field, Brent oversees all of Optiem's technology initiatives. His wide-ranging experience includes web, client-server, and database development for such clients as Sherwin-Williams, JumpStart, Patio Enclosures, Inc., Things Remembered, Cuyahoga County Public Library, and IdeaCrossing.
Benjamin Bykowski, Director of Technology
In addition to a background in Computer Science and Engineering, Ben holds his MBA from the Case Western Reserve University Weatherhead School of Management. As Director of Technology he applies his education and knowledge in computer science and business administration with his technical and strategic skills to consult and direct client engagements. Ben manages a team of information architects and front-end developers whose primary responsibility is designing and implementing the User Experience. Ben's knowledge and expertise benefit Optiem’s clients in the areas of information architecture and design, emerging technologies, industry trends, and business development.

Linda Nawrocki, Director of User Experience
Linda brings a diverse background in online strategy, web application technology, usability, and SEO/PPC. Prior to joining Optiem, Linda served as Global Web Manager for Swagelok.com with responsibilities including a global web strategy for 8 languages, usability/design testing, and search strategy. In addition, she led the information architecture process and project management for the M.O.S.S. 2007 implementation of a unified intranet/extranet portal. Linda’s online strategy and business analysis experience also includes working with clients such as Moen, Sherwin-Williams Company, IRS Chief Counsel, NETtel, North Pittsburgh Telecom and the Federal Trade Commission.
