Usability Analysis

Once usability testing is completed, Optiem performs an overall analysis of the testing. This analysis includes the creation of a report that describes the key usability issues observed and provides specific recommendations for addressing these problems.  This process insures that our testing reports will include proposed solutions that are not only appropriate to the circumstances observed, but also represent the latest best practices in interactive design. 

By using Morae software, we are able to generate a score card for the success of completed tasks. However, Optiem also does an in-depth analysis of user behavior on the site for other tasks and incorporates the activities and discovery process needed to not only find items on the website, but find the website itself via social media or search.

Optiem incorporates the results into a Usability Testing report that identifies the relevant findings.   This report will include the information regarding task and activity tracking captured during each usability session.  In addition, we will incorporate the results of the usability session with the overall survey findings to ensure there are no gaps in the information discovery process.

Based on these results, Optiem will craft a number of recommendations for adjustments to site layout and element prioritization.  The information in the results will take into account the overall strategy for the client including any changes currently underway.  From this point, Optiem will work on providing information architecture support to the usability outcome.
